Open access resources for the system-levels MCAT
My name is John Wetzel, and I have created an MCAT course. I believe it represents a significant contribution to premedical education, which is why I have stuck with the project for decades. I was the creator of the most popular online course for the old MCAT, the WikiPremed MCAT Course. This is a project I have working on since the 1990's as my life's work since graduating from Stanford, the project of building a structured interdisciplinary course in which physics, general chemistry, organic chemistry, biochemistry and molecular cell biology unfold within system levels integration. WikiPremed was also an interdisciplinary MCAT course, but the Premed Village MCAT Course is more sophisticated than WikiPremed was, because it is for the new MCAT, and the new MCAT is more sophisticated than the old exam. This MCAT course has already helped many students in live teaching and is the only content review for the new exam, I believe, which encompasses the deeper learning goals of the test while simultaneously conveying the comprehensive topical knowledge base. The course sequence is structured, so watch the videos in order. Use the blank slides in the PDF below to take notes. You can use the resources here for free alongside everything else you do in MCAT review to help you achieve fast improvement. I hope this MCAT course helps your learning and achievement! - John Wetzel
Reach outComprehensive, spiraling curriculum
The Premed Village MCAT Course teaches the deeper interdisciplinary learning goals of the exam. It also covers all of the AAMC topical goals in physics, chemistry, organic chemistry, biochemistry and molecular cell biology. The course is structured and spiraling. Watch the videos in sequence. In a spiraling curriculum, important themes are introduced early and returned to with greater sophistication as the course progresses. Use the blank session note slides below for note-taking. Be patient and always give yourself positive feedback in MCAT review. Good MCAT prep grows your scientific imagination and makes the exam easier.

At least part time continuously since the 1990's, I have been teaching and developing for MCAT. My partner and I created a popular online course for the old MCAT called the WikiPremed MCAT Course. After 2015, we made it a second calling to continue our work. In my other calling, last year I served as contract QC Writing Manager at the Bill and Melinda Gates Medical Research Institute and helped them build their medical writing department. It required a great deal of work, thought, and teaching experience to create the structure and content of this MCAT course. I appreciate my students very much!
