Content Review that Actually Works
An effective content review course for the Foundations of Living Systems MCAT should not only provide coverage of the AAMC topical goals but also the deeper interdisciplinary goals of the exam. It should follow a spiraling, integrated curriculum so that chemistry concepts have physics ideas alongside providing common sense substance and explanation, and the physical sciences should unfold as a foundation underpinning biochemistry and molecular cell biology. It should get ideas shining light across disciplines, and after the course finds out what works in live teaching and proves it raises MCAT scores, it should be made available for a wider audience free without subscription. It should be effective and interesting and improve the scientific understanding of future doctors. — John Wetzel.
