Structured MCAT Content Review that Actually Works
The free video content review on this site provides coverage of the topical goals of AAMC's Foundations of Living Systems MCAT while also teaching the deeper interdisciplinary learning goals of the exam. The course follows a spiraling, interdisciplinary sequence in which physics sets the stage for general and organic chemistry, and the physical sciences together set the stage for biochemistry and molecular cell biology. Throughout its years of development in live teaching this content review has helped many people succeed on the MCAT, and now it is available for a wider audience. We believe the curriculum represents a contribution to premedical education, and it is free on the site to benefit all future doctors. We believe that a person's financial resources should not determine whether they can go to medical school. — John Wetzel.
Our Model
This project will support itself soon with a low cost social learning environment ($14.95/mo) in which students will be able to get individualized help, participate in study groups, and receive admissions advice. We will teach test strategy in webinars and provide course support. That's our model! The Pre-Med Village Community School is opening soon! We will also be offering low cost printed versions of some of our publications where print is advantageous. Both of these initiatives should provide a good educational value for students while allowing Pre-Med Village to support itself as a business. Thank you!
