Open-Access, Structured Content Review that Works
The Premed Village MCAT Course teaches the deeper interdisciplinary learning goals of the new MCAT while covering all of the AAMC topical goals in physics, general chemistry, organic chemistry, biochemistry, and molecular cell biology. The MCAT course is free on this site, and so are many other learning resources here, because we are working to benefit medicine by making a real contribution to the education of future doctors. The course follows a spiraling curriculum, so important themes are introduced early to be returned to later with greater sophistication as the course progresses. In other words, the content review is a structured course, so watch the videos in order, and use the blank session slides below for note-taking. We hope our work is helpful for your learning and achievement! - John Wetzel
The Longest-Standing Independent Project in MCAT
My partner and I built the most popular online video course for the old MCAT. We began as MCAT Academy, a small live course in the 1990's in Atlanta, and became the WikiPremed MCAT Course, which helped tens of thousands of students with the old test. After the new MCAT was introduced, we did not simply repackage our materials (as so many did) but instead began teaching again. We went back to the drawing board and redeveloped the entire curriculum and teaching content to encompass the deeper learning goals of the new exam. To get to this stage has required years of teaching, approximately twice as many as we thought it would LOL! You can work here as long as you want for free. Furthermore, a low-cost social learning environment is coming here soon ($14.95/mo) in which students will be able to form study groups, attend office hours, work on test strategy, help each other, and receive our help. That's our model! We hope it works! Premed Village School is opening soon! - John Wetzel
